Ecem Özkan: post-doctoral researcher and our favourite interpreter to/from any equation and programming language

I am a postdoctoral researcher in artificial intelligence applied to animal cognition at the Prepared Minds Lab. My academic background is interdisciplinary, and I focus on applying biological priors in perception and cognition to artificial neural networks. For my PhD (Electronics Engineering and Computer Science at QMUL), I have worked on computationally modelling human non-verbal behaviour in natural dialogue. Making connections between multiple fields and ideas is definitely a welcomed challenge for me – and an amazing aspect of our lab in my opinion!

Connecting the dots between models and hypotheses relating to priors and learning in humans, baby chicks and AI? Stay tuned!
