Jue Chen - PhD Student

I am a PhD student at the Centre for Advanced Robotics (ARQ) in the School of Engineering and Materials Science at Queen Mary University of London, where I am supervised by Prof. Althoefer and Dr. Versace. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Internet of Things Engineering and a Master’s degree in Human-computer Interaction. My interdisciplinary academic background has equipped me with different ways and tools to face future challenges.

My PhD project is about animal-robot interaction, which will develop a multi-sensory integrated pet robot that enables emotional touch and sound playback with animals and responds to acoustic/visual engagement feedback.

I am funded by Queen Mary University of London and the China Scholarship Council (CSC).
